Update: Friends of Pac Rim Foundation is ecstatic to announce that the 2012 Jog-a-thon broke last year’s record and then some! To date, we have raised $61,087 and there are still some pledges coming in. THANK YOU to everyone involved!!!!

The Most Students! The Most Parents! The Most Laps! The Most Sponsors! The Most Volunteers! The Most Money*! Thank you to everyone involved in the 2012 Friends of Pac Rim Foundation Jog-a-thon for making it the most successful. At a time when all we hear about is less…….less money, less teachers, less days of school; Pac Rim families and staff answer back with a truly amazing day and fundraising effort.
Even Mother Nature was on Pac Rim’s side. Rain and possible thunderstorms were predicted for most of the morning, but the sun shone on all three races. There was a small sprinkling of rain at the end of the final race lasting for only a few minutes, but this did not hinder the runners at all. As a matter of fact, it may have encouraged them to run a little faster. The students all did a fantastic job running their laps during their hour. Thanks also to our special guests, 10 Army recruits from Oceanside Army Recruiting Station, Carlsbad firemen, and Sponge Bob.

The money raised by the Jog-A-Thon provides funding for STEAM (Science, Technology, English, Art & Assistants, and MORE!) with the major portion being contributed towards Credentialed Assistants this year.
